Red Wings’ fans have raised money to fly a fellow fan living in Brazil to Detroit to witness his first every hockey game. Herm2Hockeytown has raised $2,292.84 so far and all excess donations will be given to the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. There is a pre-game party being held at Detroit’s Hockeytown Cafe. A prize drawing will be held featuring prizes such as autographed Red Wings’ items, Detroit Tigers tickets, and a signed Ray Whitney jersey. It’s great to see hockey fans, especially in the struggling Michigan economy, reaching out to their fellow fans and helping children in need.
