Savard’s Appearance Sparks Bruins’ Power Play

For much of Marc Savard’s absence, the Boston Bruins have struggled mightily on the power play.

Since Savard suffered a Grade 2 concussion from a blindside hit by Pittsburgh’s Matt Cooke on March 7, the Bruins had only scored once with the man advantage. Coming into Saturday’s game against the Calgary Flames, the Bruins were mired in a 0-for-22 slump dating back to March 9 when they lost to Toronto. CONTINUED…
